I am Kellie, a mother of three young daughters. I have been a Family Daycare Educator for over 8 years in the Walkerston area. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and I am passionate about children learning through play.
I believe that every child has the right to learn in a rich and meaningful environment that ensures the child feels safe and secure. My daycare environment was created so that children could be creative within themselves and explore many ways of learning. These include providing choices for the children to extend off either through their own ideas or intentional teaching practices.
I promote children’s independence and life skills in our daily routines so that children are able to transition smoothly into a school environment feeling confident and having a sense of accomplishment.
I incorporate our wonderful community into our learning through regular excursions at a variety of locations which are based off each child’s interest.
