I started as an educator with Dubbo Family Day Care in 1997. Through this scheme I completed my Certificate 111 in Child Care. In 2009 we moved to Mackay where I became an educator with the Mackay Family Day Care Scheme. After I was with the scheme for 6 months I decided to study my Diploma in Child Care and move into a coordinators position. I really enjoyed doing this but I missed the interaction with the children. In 2012 I decided to move back into the role of an educator where I love implementing the Early Years Learning Framework.
In 2015 I left Mackay Family day care to try other childcare related work. In 2020 I have returned to Mackay Family day care to follow my passion as a family day care Educator. As a Mackay family day care Educator I am able to give the children more adventures with our outings, we can go to the beach, climb a tree, run on my hobby farm with different animals and just be kids exploring our beautiful word.
To continue improving my service to you and your child, I regularly attend professional workshops and conferences on the Education and Protection of children and providing for the inclusion of all children within the home environment.
I have a wonderful husband Scott; together we have four great children Amy, Jessica, Dylan and Harrison.
We are animal lovers and have lots of different pets, the children that I have previously cared for enjoyed helping to care of them. This teaches the children to be gentle and kind; it also shows that owning an animal is a big responsibility.
